rockyredbaron........Because of Gustav you may want to think about a back up area....you'll know in a week or so.....Biloxi, Gulfport, Long Beach, any of the beaches along hwy 90 should be worth trying.....rdi

If that storm comes in there ; there may not be any beach there to detect when you get there.

You might be alright there since you mention your going at the end of September. I'd love to get over that way sometime and try the different areas and beaches to see what you might find. If you do hit the beaches and don't have a sand scoop I would highly recommend getting one. They are a great help in beach hunting, especially in dry sand. Your coil is probably waterproof but your circuits and the circuit box isn't so don't get them wet.

P.S. Did I mention a sand scoop? You'll love that tool.
