I came across a youtube video of a guy in Ohio getting some decent gold (for Ohio anyway). I ask him about where he's mining, he's not wanting to give specifics which I completely understand. His video I commented on is here

He tells me to check where the platinum mines were. I've looked at this from the odnr,(https://gis.ohiodnr.gov/MapViewer/?config=OhioMines) plenty of mines in Ohio, none platinum. I know about the few gold mines we had in the 1800's, but I'm not sure if this guy is pulling my leg or what. The google doesn't tell me anything either. Anyone from Ohio heard about this?

When I saw the post this morning I did a little looking too. Nothing. From what I know about Platinum deposits I'm I wouldn't expext much where your at. As where there is Platinum deposits there just isn't much (relative)

I thought the same. From everything I've looked at nowhere close has anything like that. Maybe he was mistaken.

From what Ive heard over the years , PGM groups have been small pieces and most people just don't see them in their equipment and end up dumping that gray stuff just not knowing!
