I recently dug this ornate piece from a local park....a park with some age.....though have no idea what it might be. First impression out of the ground was a copper t-joint though during the clean up I noticed all the detail coming through. Also, inside the piping, what appeared to be mud was cork. So the piece was corked and appears to be constructed of brass/copper.

Does anyone have a clue what it might be?

This unique find is on this video or image below.

Being you said cork. I'd be leaning towards a Bottle Stopper.

I would say a topper for an antique walking cane or swagger stick. The cork inside my be decomposed hardwood. Cool find! Sub 8-)

Being ornate, I’d vote gas light fixture, why the cork is in there is anybody’s guess.

I see he posted this elsewhere.
The ends are both open on top same as bottom. The top center also has a smaller opening.
