Hi, I found this piece of jewelry today on the shore of a lake beach while metal detecting for the first time. It looks like it must be a pearl, but I am not sure. It appears white at first, but shines pink and greenish. Anyone know what it is or how to identify it? Thanks. Jewelry 1.jpg Jewelry 2.jpg

I went out again today and found an old shotgun shell from what looks it's from around 1920. Pretty cool! I also found this that says 32 on one side and I can't quite make out the other side. It might sat 4 AN or maybe WAN or MAN. It's heavy and tiny, about 1/3 the size of a bottle cap. Anyone have a clue as to what it may be? I am up in New Hampshire.

Your mystery item is a lead seal, nice find

Thanks! I've been looking around after you told me and I can't seem to specifically identify it. Any thought on what 32 means? And where I would be able to identify it?

Congrats & welcome.
Probably opal, & that 5 & 3.....
could that be 585.... :icon_scratch:

Besides my jewelers loop my jeweler gave me,
the best magnifier I got, the husband pulled out of a Cracker Jack box,
as his "prize", lol. :o
I immediately confiscated it.... :laughing7: *the man had no idea what he had... :laughing7:
I put it up to the camera lens when taking pics, it produces great magnified pics,
if you have magnifiers around there, play with different ones & your camera,
you may could get lucky & have one that "will do", for a while.
