Hey Romex,
That is a pin from the Texas Order of the Eastern Star.
Here's a quote from their website:
"The Order of the Eastern Star is a Masonic-related fraternity of women and men dedicated to charity, truth and loving kindness. Although not a part of the Masonic fraternity, membership is based on a Masonic affiliation or relationship, a belief in God, and a desire to acquire additional knowledge and for self improvement."

THX,

SLABMAN,
I looked on line for info and didn't find any thing close.

I dug it here in NY, far from Texas.

THX for your info and viewing.
Thanks
ROMEX

eastern star pin -- the women part of the masons -- their wives and daughters normally -- each chapter has a male who "opens" their meetings "offically" -- the head female is the worthy matron -- the male the worthy patron

my dad was a "past master" of his lodge -- having gone both york and scottish rites -- was a member of the shiners and was "Past patron" of the order of the eastern star --- Ivan

Mccoy's was a carnival supply store in newburgh new york back in the 1970's, they sold prizes for bazzars and carnival booths. The fire dept's in my area used to buy the prizes for the carnivals they held. The police dept bought their supplies from them too. My dad has been a firefighter and police officer here for about 35-40 years and remembers going there to buy all of the prizes.

Where in ny did you dig this up?
