I'm no expert so take this with a grain of salt but that button looks pre Civil War to me. I'm sure PBK or Montana Jim will have more information for you. Nice find. :thumbsup:

Crusader, thanks for the info. I didn't realize tomac buttons didn't really have a specific design, so I was at a loss when I coulnd't find a match.

It could be a little earlier than 1790's. I have many, many different designs. I'm amazed at how many there are & mostly unpublished. The most collectable are the hunting/aminal/scenery types.

You forgot to mention the part where, all you have to do is turn on your detector and you find a button good job!!

You get out of the truck and find buttons before your battery check is done!
