Please identify this button!!!!!

Was out and about today..Decided to do a little MDing and found this button. The button was in the woods not far from a tree where I found some Union buttons. I cannot identify this button anywhere. If anyone can identify this that would be great. Not sure if it's CW or not...

I'm no expert so take this with a grain of salt but that button looks pre Civil War to me. I'm sure PBK or Montana Jim will have more information for you. Nice find.

Crusader, thanks for the info. I didn't realize tomac buttons didn't really have a specific design, so I was at a loss when I coulnd't find a match.

It could be a little earlier than 1790's. I have many, many different designs. I'm amazed at how many there are & mostly unpublished. The most collectable are the hunting/aminal/scenery types.

You forgot to mention the part where, all you have to do is turn on your detector and you find a button good job!!
