Some of you all saw my recent musket ball lodged in a piece of wood.

Thank the trees, this one missed!

Well, I went back yesterday. Drove the land a bit and worked the far side back towards the original area. Well I tell ya I didn’t find a lot of trash or iron. Just lead, and a fair amount of it for about an hour digging.

Variety of post-civil war era, but I did find a four ringer and a couple of possible musket balls. So the land saw some action, both war and hunters.

Maybe the excavator dug the honey hole.

Cool finds, congrats! :occasion14:

Funny, Two days ago I found a piece of a tree root that is ringing up a nice high tone, hacked it out, throw it in the trunk and forgot about it. :BangHead: Now, I have to check it out...:dontknow:

Professor, keep us posted on the chunk of root. I imagine roots have access to many of the best and worst of finds. Heh
