Any ideas what they are? These are front and back pics.The size is a little longer than a penny.

Hmmmmm? Definitely different. My knee jerk reaction is, not Native American Indian.
Welcome to Tnet by the way! The basic material doesn't look like chert or flint. Whatever the white stuff is on the base material looks strange but interesting. Can you tell us more about how and where you found it?
 

Interesting for sure and I would have picked them up. Not sure what you have, almost looked like something melted onto the rock. Hope someone can help you. Welcome to the party. Happy Hunting!
 

Thanks everyone. I looked up some pictures of gar scales and that's what they look like! And were very near the Sabine river in SW Louisiana.

You mean if I find two arrowheads together they were not used as arrowheads?
 

Like the others have said Gar scales. Be looking real close if you have found these fossils in this area there are more and of different kinds. Nice find.
 

The use of Gar Scales is new to me. You could make a pair of earrings out of em ???
