Poked around some foundations today, and found 15 cents in one hole.

My first thought was what a strange combination finding these two charactors in the same hole. My next thought was
" SILVER" !!! First dug silver of the year...as far as coins go anyway. took a half day from work and headed out to my multiple foundations site where I found 6 old crusty coppers last week . Today at 7 inches down i had a strong bouncer, coin & pulltab reading in all 4 directions and hitting it hard, so I took my 3ft shovel and dug out a good size plug..up comes the Buffalo, i grabbed the camera and took a quick shot. filled the hole back in and rescanned the area once more, PING! PING! oops, I filled it in too soon, dime hit 6 inches down. re-dug and found the barber, a 1905s. most likely the combination of the two is what was giving off the coin-tab hit. needless to say I hit that area good, only found a small shoe buckle a few feet away.
but as you can see theres just too much iron to sift through at these sites.
did the best i could with the pics,
enjoy,
Pro
