Solo 5 hour hunt close to home.
Started on a field that we have never done that well on, but did get 1 silver Roman when they were putting a pipeline in. That 2 hours was a blank in terms of recordables.
Spent the next 2 hours on a nearby field which is where we have had the odd Roman Coin & 1 silver. This area was nearly hunted out with just 1 scrappy & 1 lead Token.
So spent the last hour on the Cap-badge Field, hoping to get some Military items, from WWI & WWII.

1 Scrappy
1 Lead Token
LNER Button - My best example of this London North Eastern Railway Button
Rare Will & Mary Tin & copper plugged Farthing
Suffolk Regiment Cap-badge
RFC Cap-badge - Hard to find Royal Flying Corp - 1912-18 - Small short lived unit. Best find of the day, I think.

Yes lucky to live here, not sure I would move anywhere else...

A bit bend but not broken. :icon_thumleft: Nice cap badge! Wonder where that many decanter cork came from.

Nice stuff Cru! It's amazing how you're scraps would be a banner day for me...lol. awesome finds, as usual, thx. Ddf

Those glass decanter tops are neat!! What's the story on them? Did you find a spill or trash pit with them in it?

Really awesome finds! Congrats and HH

Its a dump area which includes the cap badges & buttons, broken bottles etc. Most of the uniforms were burnt & spread on the fields.

Yeap complete other than the pin on the reverse, but you hardly ever get those, so happy it could be fixed up if I ever wanted to.

Congratualtions on the nice relic hunt! :occasion14:

Excellent military recoveries Cru! Cap badges are freakin cool, I rarely dig them but I'm happy when I do.

What is the item top left of second pic? Looks like an image of a bicycle on it?

Well spotted, its an early print block

Very interesting plugged W&M farthing Cru. I had not seen one of those before and that's a nice score.

Great hat badge too. Early fliers were bold.

I don't find them that often & when I do they are not as nice as this one.

All great, and interesting finds! I have to agree with you on the RFC badge. This conjures up images of the old bi-planes in the early days of aviation. Really cool!
