I hear you there, I wonder if there's a bug going around on here? I keep getting pop ups like crazy that say my hard drive is full and my computer is about to crash. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the recent problems that some members have been having in the last few Months?

Backbacon, the problems we've been having are hardware problems. During the last 2 years, we've had 2 hard drive failures, 3 video card failures, several keyboard and mouse failures, two 2X4Gb memory kits to fail, 3 DVD ROM/burners, and 1 power supply to fail. Oh, and 1 main board to go 'kaput'; along with 3 USB adapters for Wifi. We, meaning my daughter, her husband, their son, a very close friend of my daughter's, and me and my son, all live at the same 'place'. It's was a large house when my son and I moved in and I had an extra bedroom and bath built on. The daughter's friend lives in a small mobile home that's on the same property. We each have a desktop computer, plus my old laptop, and 2 spares. It takes quite a lot of 'servicing' to keep them all going. No, I don't think Tnet has anything that is causing the problems; except that I keep mine logged onto Tnet so much of the time! lol

I think you see it. Some people have strong wills and some are more easily influence. P T Barnum saw it and used it to his benefit to make a bundle. Give um what they want but make um PAY.Once you got the Judas goat moving, Many sheep will follow. Just my observation of events. Frank...

Odds are all those components fell victim to a crappy power supply.
In all my years of building PCs and fixing them, almost always failure comes from one of two things, a crappy power supply, or overheating, from overclocking, or just dust bunnies.
I see it all the time, guys build bad ass gaming rigs, then put a 30 dollar power supply in it after spending top dollar on great components, and then wonder why it all failed.
That being said, all the pre-made PCs out there from companies like dell, etc. etc. You get a crappy power supply by default, good speciality makers would never do that since they know how critical the power supply is.

I over clock my processor, but it also has a huge cooler on it.

I don't buy cheap power supplies either..

Yes, BC, you're right about the 'store bought' computers. I was looking into one for a friend the other day and found that it had a 250 watt supply! I have built all of the computers that we have except the spare that my daughter's friend has. No, I haven't tried to buy expensive or cheap parts, just kinda middle of the line parts. I've used a variety of brands of main boards, power supplies, etc. The first computer that I built had an Intel processor. Since then, I have only used AMD. I know, I know, yes, there's someone (maybe even you) that thinks that the AMDs are duds. lol I really only know a little about building these things; but have had great luck so far. I believe the main reason we've had so much trouble lately is because the parts are getting older and the ones giving the most trouble are in use about 75% of the time and left on always. My grandson and I built a gaming computer for him to use about a year or more ago. The only trouble he's had was a hard drive. He got on line chatting with a bunch that he games online with and got quite a bit of info for what he wanted. He's running a hex core processor, and high end (don't remember the number now) video card, a 880 watt PS, a 3D monitor with 120 hz refresh rate, etc. etc. I does a great job for him. I don't think anyone is OCing except (maybe) him.
