I was up in the woods scouting a few places to detect. I eyeballed this 1984 1 escudo on the trail.

Got a bunch in my drawer from before we changed over to the Euro. Lots of Portuguese in you're area. We came over looking for codfish.

Have found most all my foreign coins on school yard play grounds. My theory is that these coins are brought to school by the children to show to to there friends then lost on the play grounds.
