Can anyone help me identify these? They were found not far from a creek in my backyard in Chesterfield Va.

A few of them look like they could be some type of tool used to grind things. The clay looking shards are interesting. Found those while digging a drainage trench in the middle of my backyard. The round red pieces look similar to a few stones that were used in fires. Not sure though.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Water and time can do some interesting things to stone. I don't see anything right off hand that would tell me that those were worked or used as tools.

you have the right idea, but finding so many in one area by accident would be a red flag of "no"

Welcome to the site. Unfortunately, what you have are all naturally formed stones. None of those have been altered or utilized by man.
