Very nice finds! The two round obejects, one with the eagle and the one with a crown look like weights, possibly coin weights. I also see a watch winder in there. HH, Mike

Thanks "root" at least you know your history... British troops were all over this area envoys were sent out to keep an eye out on french positions after the french/indian war there are many war of 1812 forts out here also. I have found some british artifacts at those sites also... in fact I never gave a location of where those artifacts were found they could have been found in Maine 3 yrs ago?? ?or in Arizona 2 days ago??? hmmmm. ?thanks again root!!? jd

ADY thanks for the url I emailed them asking about the relics, the "bird" turns out to be a seal matrix they may be ble to track it down.. thanks again? ?jd

Hey JD, fantastic, you definately have come across and old site there, and it does appear to be British. The flames I have seen before. They appear on both British and some early US Shako helmets. I will do some research this evening and see what I can find, And as someone mentioned, that is a pocket watch key on the top. I have only found one, and it dated to the 1700's and looks similar to yours. You have a great site, keep us informed...Congrats....Lance

Yep, JD the British were never in Missouri, nor were they ever in Maryland, New York, Virginia or the Carolinas. Matter of fact they never were in the US at all!!! Just give up, it doesn't matter where you found them they aren't British! ;D I think those are from the invading Mongul army of the Ming Dynasty! ;)

Great finds JD keep us posted and let us know what more you find! ;D ;D ;D
