✅ SOLVED Possible Epaulette Scales. Very Close Match...HELP NEEDED :)

Hey everyone, another couple of items I would like to get some opinions on. The only thing I could figure with these...epaulette scales:icon_scratch: I suppose they could be just about anything really, but they are extremely close in looks to the scales on epaulettes. Don't know if they are too thin...wide enough...etc. Any help will be very much appreciated :thumbsup:....Chris

Those are two of the "scales" from a mid-1800s US Army enlisted-man's shoulder epaulette. See the photo below.
