It looks like a water worn piece of shale, a sedimentary rock. What makes you think it's a meteorite?

Both of your reasons you think makes it a meteorite apply to most rocks from Earth.

Could be basalt. Your blurry rock looks a little like basalt and basalt is slightly magnetic.

Many basalts are magnetic. My driveway is crushed basalt. A lot of it is magnetic.

A lesser amount of shale is magnetic.

Being magnetic, by itself, is meaningless to the identification of meteorites, since many types of terrestrial rocks are also magnetic. Since your rock has no visual characteristics of meteorites, I have to say it is just a rock.
