Possible Meteorite?

The picture shows a 1" x .5" sample that was taken from a larger rock and sanded/polished to help with identification. It is magnetic and has a density (if I calculated it correctly) of 2.95.

Lots of rocks are attracted to magnets. Are there any other characteristics of meteorites present in this rock? Without further evidence, I am going to say no.

Time for more coffee.
