Went to the old school for a couple hours tonight, and I got some tail! Dolphin tail that is haha! Targets are getting scarce. The jewelry pieces are not marked, but I think the star earring is silver.

Any thoughts on the button? It seems old but I'm not sure. Has anyone seen this before? ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1431053190.794870.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1431053231.366080.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1431053251.849187.jpg

The items look like silver to me, I am not knowledgeable on the buttons but its a good looking one. So much variety on buttons thats the real kicker on them :coffee2:

I agree, I think the items are silver, but I don't know too much about the button, cool finds!

I'm thinking for the button British military around 1900, Could 'nt find a similar one with the lion and the unicorn with a'' shield ''in between.May be the back as some information on it.

Wonder if there was a big silver whale connected to that tail

Yes Crusader, while researching I found another thread from 2008 with this very same button.

It sort of looks old, but something is off with the lettering. I can definitely see why it's a modern fantasy button.

Exactly what I was thinking! The back has no writing. It's made in that old military style, but sadly it's a modern "copy" if you will.

nice silvers! I found a similar style sterling screw-back earring last year. It was marked on the flat part of the screw portion. Might be hiding there for you too. Definitely has some age to it!
