Those might be mine. I know I have been losing a lot of them lately!
Hello creskol

OH NO! I'll pack them up immediately and get them back too you.

In the meantime, try not to lose any more.

Thanks for the laugh! 😃

Take care!

I have found many marbles over many years of metal detecting, (and no of course, not with the detector itself, though I have been asked a few times if "those" things can find arrowheads, anyway, spotting them as I've wandered around, and I always considered them as little jewels. I have collected a large bowl of them, and what you have is nice, very nice.

Hello sprailroad

I've heard of a lot of members using a MD to find things. I'm really considering on purchasing one 🤔 especially hearing what could possibly be underground.
It's very cool that you're out finding treasures. Do you find a lot of jewelry? Those arrowheads that you find most certainly are jewels.
Keep finding those treasures, have FUN!!
Oh and regarding finding marbles with that MD, hmm.. that would interesting 🤔 I'd even buy one off of you, if you'd part with one, lol..
Thank you so much for the comment, appreciate that very much.
Good talking to you.
Thanks! for sharing your story.

AWSOME!! Keep in touch

Take care!

ArmyVeteran84, No sir, I did NOT find any marbles using a metal detector, I spotted them while out with my detector, by eye, and any arrowheads I found pretty much wandering around with hands in my pockets. I should have been more clear perhaps. Our detectors will not detect glass, whether in marbles or volcanic glass for arrowheads. Now, as far as anything metal? as in coins or jewelry, and most certainly junk, yes. I can only say...you just never know WHAT you might come up with. Welcome to the T-Net site.

Hello sprailroad.

It was meant as something funny. Of course you can't detect marbles with a MD.
I understand and read your entire thread and thought I commented on it nicely.
I was just throwing in some laughter with the conversation.
I think we all need that every now and then.
Good day to you sir and thank you for welcoming me to TN

The first marble (white with multicolor stripes) and the transparent, purple one with white ribbon were produced by a company called Vacor de Mexico in the 1990s or early 2000s. The first one is called a "Hurricane" and the purple one is called an "Octopus." Their marbles were distributed in Michaels' craft stores, among other outlets. The company is currently known as Mega Marbles. The other marbles also look to be foreign in origin.

Hello redden

Thank you very much for finding this out for me, I appreciate that very much.
I picked up, "Oh, I'd say 100+ and am trying to separate the vintage ones from the newer ones." I can give those Michaels ones to my wife and she can exchange them them for some crafts, lol..
Just kidding. I know they can't be returned/ exchanged, lol.. she can just use them for her crafting.
I kinda thought those purple ones looked older because of a bubble/bubbles inside. Learn something new every day. If you come across something on those black/white ones, please let me know if you wouldn't mind.
I'm glad that my wife found this TN site, having lots of fun posting all my finds and chatting with a lot of other collectors.
Everyone has been so wonderful with their comments and helpful information, like yourself, THANK YOU! 😊
By the way, did you happen to see any of the other marbles that I posted?

Thanks!
Jim

Would be nice to have a type of penetrating machine that could show a picture of what's in the ground say a foot or so for arrowheads and other artifacts.

Hello Everyone

I recently posted some that weren't quite vintage so I'm hoping that these are much better.
Some of these if you look closely enough you can see a bubble in the center.
Thanks again for checking them out.
Any help with these would be appreciated. Manufacturer, value

Thank you
Very nice marbles!

Very nice marbles!
Hello Scruggs

Thank you very much for your comment. Greatly appreciated!

I should add, lol.. I have some uv ones, bright orange, yellow, red and a few green. Am trying to get ahold of a decent purple light to be able to show the illuminated colors.

Take care!

My mistake, you know, I was not sure, but just in case, I did not want to insult. I agree with you 100%, we do need to throw in a great bit more laughter with our conversations. So...now that we know ArmyVeteran84 a little better, feel free to add any little dig of your choice to any of my future post. Having said all that, I do enjoy finding the marbles, bought a book on them, had no idea how many different kinds, types etc. and the many elaborate ones that I've never seen first hand. You have some really nice examples.

Hello Trezurehunter

Thank you very much for your comment, very appreciated.
Well said! Always on the hunt for more, lol..
I'm trying to post some cool uv's but I don't have a decent black light

Take care
Good day!
