I've been hiking all around an old hard rock mining district near me. I have found many veins and hand sorted ore piles. But on each area of the mountain the ore looks different and I'm not sure what sort of characteristics usually go along with gold bearing ore. So I've got hundreds of pounds of ore and big chunks of vein that look awesome but I've not found any gold in them yet. Some of those vein pieces are gorgeous though.

Dude that's some good looking stuff is that some kind of turquoise on a few of those??

Thanks man, Some of these pieces are real neat looking for sure. It's sure looks like turquoise and I know it was mined in the area I'm at but I was told its real low grade turquoise. It was just laying all over in front of a hard rock mine.
