Going back and forth. Originally thought transite pipe but probably not. The patina over the broke edge and and the shiny specks make me think stone but donā€™t know enough. Really hope itā€™s pottery because Iā€™ve never found any.

Thanks was hoping. Not familiar with that stone though, and not really thinking modern trash but who knows.

I wouldnā€™t doubt your opinion. It just seemed a little strange when I looked close, not something Iā€™ve seen before.
