Nice Finds! Your last item is a Grahams-Brothers (Cars and trucks made in the 20s and 30s) axle cap (hub cap).

It still has some grease on the inside. Must of been buried for a long time till it washed out.

Cool Rock.. I found a Dodge Brothers cap like that. You need a metal detector.

We floated probably 4 miles of the creek. That creek is Im guessing 20 miles long so there is no telling where it came from. We were towards the end of it. I bet we left at least 50 pieces of pottery. I only keep the large pieces or different types now. The larger dark brown piece is the bottom of a bowl because it is very thick rite at 1/2 inch in thickness. I need to get another frame for the recent pottery rims I have found.

You are really finding a lot of pottery and some really nice ones too. Love that GB hub too.

I found some flint to but mostly what we call "flakers". A flaker is a big piece that has been removed and then just the edges are worked. I did find a base to a Copena Triangular point but it was missing the tip. My friend found a nice little Camp Creek made from quartz and it was perfect.

I just looked it up on ebay and there is 1 asking 49$ but nobody has responded. I thought mine was ugly but the one on ebay is worse.

Thanks. You been hunting any lately?

No I haven't had time. If I'm not working it's raining. Most of the time I'm working. don't get off in time to get to my hunting places. But I am off this weekend and will be out there walking a field that has been plowed several times and worked up real good. It is a known producer of points and tools. I have found many pieces in that field. hope to be posting some...

I hope you find real nice ones. I talked to one of the farmers today and they will be spraying the weed killer this week in the fields I hunt. Game on when the fields go bare! I havent hunted them since last yr and the soil has flattened since then so it should be good. Should be rite on top waiting for me :icon_thumright:
