...a Mexican silver ring.
I found this stuff in a small baseball field. It was so hot I almost went home, then I found the silver ring and it felt cooler.
The token must be pretty old. I've never heard of that park in Cary NC.
You are on a roll Riley, keep it going buddy. Nice ring!! Congrats!
Is the little shiney this to the lower right of the ring a magnet or just a little shiney thing.
I have found serval magnets that size. Usually, they stick to my knife while I am digging and then you get that mysterious empty hole until you discover it's stuck on your dig tool.
I have four still hitch hiking on my knife right now, on the steel piece between the blade and handle. I am kind of found of the little buggers come to think of it. A few of them have been there for several years.

Hey, great find- here is some info, hope it helps, just off the internet.
We used to come to South Hills Mall in Raleigh, near Cary, each year with LIVE Reindeer for Bob Danscume, sp??
Anyway, had a blast, went there for 10 Christmas's. We worked for a Reindeer Ranch in Oregon.
Good luck in finding more things at the old park.
Bdoo, I don't think the shiny thing is magnetic. It's just a tiny U.F.O. from another dimension. I already threw it in the trash with all the other ones.
Ridley, those UFOs aren't cabochons, are they? It looks like the one in the pic could be a star ruby or a cat's eye. A star ruby is in the bottom row, 2nd from the left.
Ridley,
You are dedicated Dude. Fantastico ring. You never fail.
I thought Prehistoric Park was that senior center off of Walnut Street?
Should be a bit cooler tonight. I see GOLD in your future.
Congrats,
MM
