So normally I'm one to just pick up anything that looks cool. Anyhow, while I was running my metal detector today in Hot Springs Arkansas, I came across these formations just laying on top of a pile that look it's been dug through. Maybe someone looking for gold or something? I don't have a bank camera on my phone any more, it's fried. But I snapped these with the front camera on my phone when i got home. I thought it too cool not to share. They were found maybe 30 yards from the entrance to a well explored, and graffiti covered cave.

Hot Springs Arkansas is a hot place for quartz crystals like you have found. Most likely the pile you found was someone else's prospect or dig out on a good crystal pocket. To bad about the cave~ vandalism sucks. If ya go back there take a rake to the pile as there might be some more goodies in it.
