How many different grits did you use?

Let's see....

90, followed by 120, Then a prepolish that I can't recall the grit #. All for a week each.

Then, five days of 500, when I checked I wasn't happy, so I switched to 1,000 and left 'em in that for five more days.

Finally one day in powdered laundry detergent and done.

good luck diggummup

A big key is washing everything really well between grits. Especially before the prepolish. Don't get too disturbed if the rocks look dull during the first two grits. That's just shaping them. Even the prepolish won't keep the "wet" look.

Hope you'll post your finished rocks, I'd love to see them!
