My house is located on a late 1830s Seminole War army camp. When I was digging in their privy, which i accidently stumbled across, i found these three chunks of coral! I found them as i began expanding near the top of the privy. When the privy was originally dug they hit limestone after about two feet but kept tunneling through it. Right on the outskirt of main channel down i found the coral. Since the coral was literally right on top of the limestone layer i wonder if the coral became preserved right where it lay when the tides of Florida receeded after the flood of Noah. I love all the crystalizations on the coral! They remind me of an extinct coral called Chipolana i believe. The final piece pictured in my hand is enormous and HEAVY! The final picture is of all three together.

Very cool prognosis and very well may be the case. Look forward to seeing the rewards of the privy posted here as you bring 'em to light.

I suppose there could be a million ways that coral got there. The "flood of Noah" could be one way. Maybe it was dropped there by an early American or a the privy digger?? Interesting find no matter how it got there.

That's odd. Is there a hot spring on your property?

Its yielded a lot of stuff. I've pretty much finished it. I took it down about 12 feet but i found this when i started expanding above the limestone layer.

No hot spring. That'd be awesome though. :D
