Prizm IV. Problems

Prizm IV started using in 2007. Very experienced with this machine. Never had any function problems until now. When I turn on machine it signals/jumps up &down indicating hits on objects without me ever moving detector. This sign keeps jumping all over digital display making it impossible to detect at all. Any ideas or does it need factory repairs? Thanks.

sorry to here that.
My neighbor down the street, his prizm 5 was doing the same thing, I told him the same thing it's time to send it in. but don't worry it will be in good hands.
