Programming Eagle Spectrum ?

I have two custom programs on this machine. I want to program my custom one however every time I try it holds the memory until I turn it off than goes to the preset program from the factory. What am I doing wrong. Would really appreciate step by step.
I cant find it in the manual.

It's been a long time, so my memory is not as fresh. Actually it wasn't too fresh back then.

I had the original whites eagle, that was out prior to the spectrum, and it seems to me that as soon as I turned it on, if I pulled the toggle switch back and released it. It would retain my last program settings. HH
