a while ago i started a thread for end roll finds and since i have been reading about people finding proof coins searching rolls i was thinking it is a good time to start a new thread. so if you have found a proof coin while searching please post a pic of it if you can and if you cant what type of proof coin did you find? any denomination of coin is welcome. does not matter it is silver proof or clad proof.

Too many clad proof halves to show, but I've found several clad and silver proof dimes, here are a couple.

I was running pennies the other day,saw a bunch that looked like zincolns go thru. I re ran them, same result. I took them aside and gave them a look, they were 58,60,63 and 66 that looked mint perfect! Could they be from a proof set?

Found far too many clad halves. I toss them back into the wild.

These were the only proofs I've found worth keeping. I traded them to someone from this site for their collection.

I also have a few susan b proofs, but they are clad as well. They end up getting spent.

I found a 1980 Kennedy Proof, but it was all finger printed :( I think the roll was taken from someone's collection or something (maybe an estate sale?) and whoever rolled it didn't understand the significance of it so they touched it like any other coin :(

Could be a proof nickel, they did not have an "s" mint date on them back then. kinda have to eyeball them

No offense but I dunno man.. I toss a lot of proofs back into the wild. They're almost comparable to NIFC's now in my book. Maybe if I find one in PR-60 or above condition, I'll keep it but most are below. I used to keep them until you get a bunch and think, then what? I don't think they sell for that much of a premium since they're circulated. However if it's silver proofs, that's a different story. It could be just a silver proof thread instead. That would probably get more interest.

I always have trouble with the pictures. A while ago I did find a perfect 1996 frosted proof dime.
