Well there are turquoise mines in the area, but I believe that it is probably Chrysocolla.

the hills between Alamogordo and El Paso are full of mines. Was stationed at Holoman for a yr and spent most of my free time in those hills and mines. Thanks for sharing your pictures. Jeff

this is actually in the hills of orogrande new mexico...
