I recently posted a pic of a silver ring I had found with my Little Yeller Feller.
The ring was abt 2" deep in grass, and showed as a nickel.
TODAY...
I was messing with the same ring, and the Ace 250, doing an air test.
4 to 6" was the max result...
and it showed up on the screen from just above foil all the way up to 1c ...
Why so much difference?
I had varied my sweep speed AND turned the ring in different directions, facing the coil.
So I just don't know what to think !
Using another brand machine, I got more distance, but both HI, AND low tones...
I suppose the wisdom here could be "no area is ever completely hunted out," and, "dig 'em all!"

Welcome to the addiction. Lucky for you I sell after-market upgrade chips for the Ace 250! For $500, I'll send you the upgrade that makes the machine find only gold coins, and leave all the aluminum behind! Woohoo!
