Last week's snow melted quickly thanks to some rain and warm temps, so I was able to get out for a 4 hour hunt yesterday. Turned out to be a good Friday the 13th thanks to an 1861 Canadian penny, a 1905 liberty nickel, and some other odds and ends. Had a furry friend watching me for part of the hunt. Thanks for taking a look. 1861 large cent 1 13 17 022.JPG 1861 large cent 1 13 17 018.JPG 1861 large cent 1 13 17 021.JPG 1861 large cent 1 13 17 009.JPG 1861 large cent 1 13 17 001.JPG

Nice looking 1861 Vicky! A bit chewed up on the sides but the crisp detail shows it was likely dropped shortly after being minted.
Was likely lost while the US was still fighting the Civil War! :occasion14:
