I do mainly civil war relic hunting and have notices the cibola is like a dang blood hound for relics but was wanting to know is it absolutely necessary if I got a bigger coil to send it in to tesoro. The mineralization here where I hunt is so darn perfect that I've never even had any false signals or little chatters. And also where is the best place to get a larger coil. I realize that it's not much of difference in depth but would like a larger for wider sweeps.

No you don't have to send it in.Get you a 12x10 DD coil.Put that thing on there and go.You will love this coil for relic hunting. It covers so good, and the depth is great with this coil.Trust me civil.Don't listen to every little thing you hear. The 12x10 will probably penetrate your soil conditions better than the stock coil anyway.Man i got a golden umax with no ground balance and i have like seven different coils i use on this thing with no lose of performance. That Cibola is highly rated for what you are doing though. Many a relic hunter down south here love it. :-Q
