Question about "nugget trap"

a nugget trap in a sluice is just a ------I_____I----- dropped area for the nuggets to drop into and not be washed out. like has been said, the riffels do basically the same thing and raised expanded also do it on a smaller scale for fines.

In all honesty most of the pieces .1g and bigger stay right on the base of my jet flair, they mostly dont make it to the sluice. If your worried a piece of 1/8" aluminum the width of your sluice and 1/2" high clamped in place will catch anything bigger.
