Well, I spent about six hours in total at a tot lot in a schoolyard that has never been hunted. I found 113 coins, and this silver ring among other things.
Stamped on the inside is "Incas Sterling".
I believe it is silver, but I don't know what the "Incas" is. I found "INCA" on the net, but not "Incas". It is NOT stamped .925.
Any ideas?

It was fun. A little warm for my taste, but fun. I appreciate your thoughts. Happy hunting!

Thats about 18 finds a hour average. And that just the keepers. Would love to know what your trash to coin ratio is?

The ring implys its is made from inca silver? Very interesting.

Well I definitely found more trash than coins, but the digging is very shallow due to the tarp they put down under the wood chips. As I said before, it's never been hunted before in the 20 years the school has been there as far as I know (and I know my ACE pretty good). I guess I should mention that the six hours is broken up into three hunts. Last night, this morning and this evening. I plan on hitting it again tomorrow evening. Thank you for your thoughts.

Oops! Hey Casca, my mistake. My total tot lot finds are 77 not 113. The 113 was my total for this week. Coins found per tot lot hunt was 31, 22 and 24 respectively. Sorry for the boo boo.

Thank you EasyriderTX, I'll check that site out.

Hope y'all are having a good 4th!

Nice ring find, have gotten a few similar ones over the years, keep on :metaldetector: :headbang: CARM

Hey guys, thought I'd update the photo with a cleaned up version (before/after). Can't wait to get out again. :O) HH!
