Question about using treasure maps?

Hard to say. For someone smart enough to have treasure but dumb enough to hide it and then leave a map to it, it could go either way.

If they used a compass to create the map then using a compass to follow it would make sense.

Haha, Kind of odd, eh ? Someone goes to great lengths to "hide" something, eh ? Presumably "hidden" so that others (doh) don't FIND it. But then sure, what does he do next ? Makes a treasure map. And riddles the site with marker clues. Eh ? So that his "hidden" treasure can remain "hidden" from possible TH'rs. Of course :)
