Question On Foriegn Coin?????

I have mostly been searching half dollars and have been doing good. My question is when searching other coins if you find canadian, or other foriegn coins how do you know what is silver or not? I don't want to pass up silver canadian dimes if there are such a thing?? Please reply.
Also can't wait for tomorrow. Bad thing about weekends are the banks are closed.

Found 2 canadian dimes the other day and sent them back to the bank ( >:() Do not know even what the dates were but wish I did. Maybe I won't mess up again. Would hate to have done away with some silver.
