Bought this turquoise neckless this weekend. The clasp say 925 Italy. Does this mean the whole chain is silver or just the clasp. Paid one dollar for it. tnet.jpg DSC03964.JPG DSC03963.JPG I know you can not read the clasp, that is where the chain is marked.

Beans what you've got there is a sterling silver double link starter charm bracelet that is being used as an extension. For the short turquoise necklace. If you take the bracelet off, is the necklace ' s own clasp marked for purity.

It's quite a nice looking piece!

Did not realize there were two pieces. Only the bracelet is marked. On the piece I just added to original post the silver part on it reads 18KGP. Thank you for your help.

Be wary of any jewelry marked 925 Italy.

Anytime I see that Mark I think it's silver. And 99% of the time it is. I think only twice have I ever seen something marked Italy and it was fake. One was chipping. The other one was magnetic. The color usually gives it away if it looks like stainless steel it's usually fake.

Fake gold marked Italy is way more prevalent than Sterling. Also magnetic Sterling can sometimes be Sterling. My buyer buys it at a bit less than he pays for non magnetic silver.

Franklin mint jewelry is. Plus A lot of those double charm bracelets are. I think there layered in something that makes them slightly magnetic.

Same thing my buyer says. It's some kind of layer on top that makes it magnetic.
