I recently bought a silver Walking Liberty round. On the back of the round it shows an eagle with its head turned . On it it has a small square that has the word "copy". What does it mean and did I get duped??
The word 'COPY' is usually placed on a coin to show compliance with the U. S. Hobby Protection Act, to show the coin is not an original. Its metalic composition (% of silver, for example) however, might still be similar to the authentic coin.
