Back at a permission that has been yielding some great items. I went back over an area that had given me some silver and a few other goodies the other day.
Today was a short 2 hour hunt, but well worth the effort.
2 Buttons: one of a horse the other of a dog - the dog button still has a full shank. Any additional info anyone could provide on these buttons would be greatly appreciated.
1 Braided one cent that someone put a hole into the top (was it to make a necklace or good luck charm)?
3 Shield 5 cent coins. Never had found one before and got 3 today!! All are pretty much toast and can't seem to get a full date on any of them.
1 Badge that belongs to the Order of the Odd Fellows (according to my wife). I'm still trying to get a date range on it . Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your buttons are mid-late 19th century sportsman buttons. Digging 3 Shield nickels in one hunt is insane in my opinion.

Hey Steve, thanks for the info on the buttons. Needless to say, I was shocked when I realized that I had 3 Shield nickels in one day.
