I made a rack for storing my metal detectors and thought I'd share a couple of pictures.

36 inches in width

52 inches in height.

Shelf on bottom is for storing batteries, headphones, pin-pointers, etc..

I made it out of fence boards because they're cheap (home improvement store) and I had some on hand.

I'll attach it to the wall in one of the spare rooms

Thanks for all the comments.

The rack is installed and holding 6 machines (two small machines in same slots) and most of the rest of my metal detecting stuff.

I'm quite happy with the way it turned out.

I'd guess that it cost me less than $10 to make - two cheap fence picket boards, a few screws, some nails, glue, stain and poly urethane (all of which I had on hand).

I have a table saw, so that made things a bunch easier, but I think anybody could build their own using hand tools and taking their time. The bulk of the time (for me) was spent waiting for the glue to dry and sanding.

Thanks for the comments.

I'll try to remember to get some pictures of the rack in use.
