It was one of those "should I or shouldn't I?" days with cold temps and rain. I knew it was going to be a mudfest but my next three weekends are booked. So I checked the weather radar and waited for a break from the rain to head out and, boy, I am so glad I did as I pulled my first SLQ from my favorite farm. I think it is the 1916-1917 variety based on the eagle placement. This wil keep me smiling all week! ;D

I think I have this Murphy's Law thing going with the worse the weather is when I hunt, the better the coins I find. Whatever it takes!

HH,
Michiganne

That is a 16 or 17! Congrats on a great find! There was a post some time back with a link to the differences between a 16 and 17. I printed it, but I'll have to find it. We might be able to pin the date down, though most likely a 17. Okay, after finding my printout, yours is a 17.
