Turning a few chisel mallets for my craftsman friends. This ones for my boss......he's a damn good furniture maker and carpenter. It's a hobby for him but he loves it and will not only appreciate this mallet but also use it. I make these mallets out of mahogany heart wood, and half the time no one wants to use them there so pretty. At least I know this one will be used properly.

I got to see this beast last year......its huge !! She was way out at the outer berth at Hampton Rhodes ready to sail. Its definitely bigger than a Nimitz class.

Of course they are. Electromagnetic-fewer moving parts- new fangled-thingamathrower is electrical, and electrical systems are the first thing to need maintenance, the first thing to die, and the very last thing you want on a seagoing vessel. If it is analog you can fix it. You might need to hire a watchmaker to fix it, but it can be fixed. If it's digital all you can do is to buy a new one.
