OMG. Did I get it all confusing? I was "hoping" that they were left over pieces/parts of shackles. The other pic I posted is from the internet of actual shackles. My thought was maybe some one altered the pieces and put them together like my first pics show. I’m buying them. They may be junk but I gotta know what they are. At least I will have a conversation piece. Maybe some day I will find an answer.

OK. Here they are. Broke the bank too. Cost me a whole $1.00!

whatzit1.JPG

whatzit2.JPG notice how one nail is on the other side.

whatzit3.JPG When I said "altered" I meant painted and you can't see how they are fastened together or if they are fastened together at all, just painted together.

So, are we back to the rat trap?

I got a 1981 Canadian dime in my change today. What is up with these Canadians coming across the border and buying our Chinese stuff in our stores with their currency? I may contact my senator and suggest a tariff!

Sorry I wasn't much of a participator today. Tomorrow, I plan on making a video about metal detecting my yard. It won't be uploaded until who knows when though.

Goodnight.

20190823_210821.jpg hard to photograph with finish on this wood. 20190823_210859.jpg check out my ceiling fan. This type of wood is alive and is constantly changing as you move around it. Looks completely different depending on the light source. 20190823_173651.jpg

toecutter,

Well done I've been out very little so far this year. With the cooler weather coming hopefully I'll get back in the groove.
