It cracks me up that he misplaced it then tossed it in a jar and tipped the jar core and it rolled away lol. I would have built a secret safe room for it on day one and hired a security detail to stand outside

Great find, but can find no more news if it even went to auction, was sold, or kept? ???

Well this guys bubble apparently was burst. Still an amazing find but an "actual" colonial coin expert valued it at $10,000-$15,000 and said the newspaper value was way out of line. I'll post the link

And this expert just happens to be John Krajlevich who looked at Bill D's coin in person. And he knows his stuff

The coin sold for 5200 GBP at auction.
Don't believe all that you read in the newspapers, especially the Daly Mail.
That works out at about 7920 USD ... way, way below their estimate.

Bill D(VA) is a colonial coin finding machine from Virginia. He's on Tnet and found an extremely rare Lord Baltimore six pence. John Krajlivech went to Bills house and looked at the coin in person. Then he took it and professionally cleaned it for him and had it slabbed. I suck at trying to post links lol

This wasn't me , but I think it's an interesting find. It was found close to my old home town in UK.

I bet they found an Oaktree and thought it was a Willow tree, or at least priced it that way! Well that's the only possible thing that could explain it.
