Afternoon all!

Ventured off the Cape this morning to a park on the South Shore, where I've found a nice amount of coins, including a couple of Seated's. Got a signal that sounded like silver, and after I located it and tossed it into my bucket, I was pretty sure I had a silver ring. After a little cleanup, I had a statue of liberty ring. Pretty big piece with red, white & blue gemstones. I've never seen one like it prior to today.

A little research provided the following:
Here’s a great example. This is a sterling silver ring with colored rhinestones depicting the Statue of Liberty. It dates to the 1920’s to 1930’s. It’s not worth a lot, maybe $50 to $60. The mark on the back is C and R which stands for the firm of Cohen and Rosenberger who went on to become Coro, at one point the largest maker of costume jewelry in the world.

Went on to find a nice 1941 Merc and a half-dozen wheat's, oldest being 1918.

I've attached pictures of the ring and coin- hope you enjoy them.

HH all!

Jeff

That is a lovely old ring and I agree, unique. I would be absolutely thrilled with both those finds.

I saw the link where you got your price listing from, this gives more details, higher price but the source of where to find the price.

Very nice finds, and I do like that ring. What makes it even nicer is it seems to have all or most of the stones in it, which are usually long gone by now.

I would say it is more than pretty good, you have something that is not often seen, your know for fact the age, why it was made, who made it, a value and reference in a book.

90% of the jewelry I find can not be placed. So way more than pretty good in my book man, that WW2 Patriotism, I can only think many where not made and even less where sold.
