Found this in a field from a civil war battle. Any idea what it could have been? Its iron, by the way.

Too blurry to tell - try using your macro setting with backlight, just a suggestion . Looks like a spur that used to attach to the side-heel of boots.

Dave, If It Is Made Of Iron, I Am Not Sure, The Closest Thing I Have Is A Suspension Hook For A Saber, Used When A Cavalry Troop Was Dismounted, And Didn't Want His Saber To Drag On The Ground. trk5capt...
