Recent find: Sterling Silver Elephant Charm/Pendant. Any idea on age?

Picked this up in the same area that I found an 1816 large cent, 1830s Canada token/coin, 1867 3¢ piece and 1862 IHC. So it has the potential to be old. It is stamped "925" though, so I don't know if that could limit its age. Anyone have any input on what its age could be?

Thats an old elephant.....I can see the wrinkles in the picture......lol. Cool find but sorry I can't help you with an age.

well if its stamped .925 its silver more then likley, as far as the age i am not sure when crafters started stamping there material. nice find though

I'm thinking it's not as old as your coins are,but pretty cool all the same! I think the really old silver was stamped "sterling" or engraved with some British symbols. I'm no expert, just my opinion. Congrats on a good days hunt!

i"v found silver was usually stamped sterling before the mid 60s after the it was usually stamped 925.
