well if its stamped .925 its silver more then likley, as far as the age i am not sure when crafters started stamping there material. nice find though

I'm thinking it's not as old as your coins are,but pretty cool all the same! I think the really old silver was stamped "sterling" or engraved with some British symbols. I'm no expert, just my opinion. Congrats on a good days hunt! :icon_thumright:

i"v found silver was usually stamped sterling before the mid 60s after the it was usually stamped 925.
