Isn't it better if we at least take part in offering opinions from different areas and different people? I don't see the sence in making a post just to say I will wait for someone else to observe. A large majority of the tribes in my area relied heavily on the local waterways for fishing and transportation among other things. I think it is quite relevant what the thoughts are of someone with experience in those types of artifacts to offer an opinion.

Welcome aboard Paleo Pilot. All these guys are good and will help you out. Many find similar items and there are even other hunters/collectors from your area. :)

Thank you guys, for the help and the welcome. My primary interest is Pleistocene bone fossils but I'm always finding bits and pieces of everything.
Decided to find out what some of them are and this forum is a "gold mine" of information.
Thanks again, here's one more that needs some lookin at.

Nice finds! It's interesting to see what you're finding in South Dakota.

Yes, it has a good shine, we know it's not petrified wood. A friend of mine who happens to be a Biologist, suggested it may be a large Gestational Dinosaur Stone, (Gastric stone).
Would have had to be very large Dino! Very hard material and almost perfect disk.
