It was a good week of hunting including today. I'm not expecting to keep this momentum up all year but I'm having fun while it lasts.

Today's Hunt.

I got my coil over 2 barbers today, 1902 Dime and 1898-S Half. Unfortunately my first ever Barber Half is bent out of shape :BangHead: maybe the next one will be straight.

I also got a couple wheaties and 3 indians today (1897, 1904, 1908). Not pictured, still caked with dirt.

Last Friday I got a couple wheaties and a 47 Rosie from a friends yard. No picture, he kept the coins for his collection. Then Saturday I rehit an area that produced silver in the past. I pulled another 47 Rosie and 1880 Indian that cleaned up quick enough for a picture. I'm at 21 dug silver coins for the year!

About a week ago I revisited an old mine site and found this clay pipe mixed in the leaf clutter.

I had some other relic finds but I'm too lazy to clean up everything not shiny :icon_biggrin:

Happy hunting and good luck out there!

Nice digs Louis. Really cool medallion there. A shame your Barber is bent but still a great find.

Congrats on your first Barber Half, and the rest of your coins. I like that Medallion also.

Nice finds. You may be able to straighten that Barber by putting it between two pieces of hardwood and putting it in a vice

Great finds! I'd take a beat up Barber half any day as I still haven't found one yet! That clay pipe could probably be id'd by the mark on it!

Congrats on all the great finds.

Yeah the barber half is tough to come by. That bad boy looks like it's been in a fire.

Keep up the continued success.

Cool Half even though it's damaged. Looks to have been in a fire. There is a museum near me that has on display a clump of many melted Seated Liberty dimes and half dimes that was apparently the contents of a change purse that was in a house fire.
